My Expertise

My passion for data stems from my background in mathematics and computing, culminating in a PhD in computational chemistry from the University of Sydney.

I've since worked primarily in the financial services sector for over 20 years, gaining experience across major banks (CBA, Westpac, NAB, Macquarie), a quantitative fund manager, and a risk management software consultancy. I also have a solid appreciation for Australian regulatory frameworks.

More recently, I've broadened my exposure by helping a media company and a research team tame their experiment and data (see more in Projects).

I also bring software engineering skills and a focus on quality to every engagement. My core skills include data analysis (Python, R), database management (SQL), and DevOps practices (Docker, shell scripting).
